Independently Happy

I take happiness seriously. So you don't have to.

My Amazon Subscribe & Save Subscriptions

Monthly shopping can be a pain. Although I enjoy grocery shopping and know that the exercise is good for me, I enjoy how easy Amazon Subscribe & Save makes shopping.

How to Use Amazon Subscribe & Save

Hello, my friend trying to create a better life! I finished my Kindle book Shopping Made Easy: How to Save Time, Money and Your Car Using Amazon’s Subscribe & Save Program. So in case you don’t know how to use it, that book is a step-by-step guide to setting it up and using it every month.

It occurred to me that some people might want to know a good place to start their product search. I thought I would be nice and post a list of my monthly subscriptions.

Since I’m the wizard that likes to pull back the curtain (as well as The Travel Wizard), I am pleased to add that these are affiliate links.  If you follow these links and make a purchase, I get a small commission.

I’m supposed to add that to the bottom of posts that contain affiliate links.  I like to put it right up front, though.  I think the affiliate program is a great program Amazon offers.  I also think that most buyers and sellers are happy for a third party to get a commission when bringing the two together.  This commission isn’t added to the price you’ll pay if you purchase via one of these links.

Without further ado, here is the list!

CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion

Our dermatologist recommended this lotion to us.  We’ve used it for about four years.  We like that it doesn’t contain chemicals that other lotions contain.  It doesn’t make our skin feel greasy.

Since I get a 15% discount for subscribing to five or more items, I paid $9.48 on my January shipment.  That is around the same price charged by that store I don’t like to visit.  Worth it!

Method Naturally Derived Foaming Hand Wash, Sea Minerals, 10 Ounce (Pack of 6)

We started using this one in December because we wanted to cut back on the antibacterial stuff.  This is for a pack of six.  I paid 16.51 in my December order.

For the kitchen, we still use…

Heliocare 360° Gel Oil-free SPF 50 UVA, UVB Sunscreen

This one is new! It was recently made available on Amazon Subscribe & Save so we subscribed! My wife uses this every day. I use it when I’m going to be in the sun a lot that day. And I think about it. I usually don’t think about it.

Speaking of the sun, we wear that oil to protect our face from burning and from the harmful UV rays.

To make sure my kid gets enough Vitamin D, we get her…

Superior Source Vitamin D3 [1000] IU Sublingual Tablets

We started getting this one because she didn’t like taking pills. It turns out that vitamins will absorb better if you take them sublingually or in liquid form. So we get these Vitamin D tablets.

I need a little bigger dose of D, so I get

Garden of Life D3 Vitamin – mykind Organic Whole Food Vitamin D Supplement

It’s a larger dose than the sublingual tablets above. You can spray it in your mouth or into drinks. I just take a spray while I’m drinking a big glass of water first thing in the morning.

Emergen-C (30 Count, Acai-Berry Flavor, 1 Month Supply)

We each drink one of these every few days. We have more of them during cold/flu season and when we’re traveling.

Although Acai-Berry is my favorite flavor, there are several flavors available.

Mrs. Meyer´s Clean Day Dish Soap

We prefer products with no chemicals. We love this dish soap. It was difficult to find. We often had to make special trips to particular stores for this one item. Often it was really expensive.

Luckily, we found it for a great price on Amazon Subscribe & Save.

Nutro Wholesome Essentials Natural Adult Dry Dog Food for Small & Toy Breeds

Likewise, we want to feed our pup more natural ingredients. So we get her this food.

Rather than making a special trip to the pet store every few weeks, we have it delivered automatically and for a much better price!

Air Conditioner Filters

This is one of my favorite finds. I used to have to go to the big home improvement stores to get my air filters. Often, I would go to one store only to discover they were out, so I’d have to go to the other store. If they were both out, I’d have to go to another location. I wanted to buy several at a time, but they can be expensive.

I also wanted to know more about the different types of filters. If they filtered out too small of particles, then were they making my air conditioning unit work harder to push air through the thicker filters?

My search of which is the best filter to buy to filter out all the allergies and other tiny gross things without overspending for something that wasn’t useful led me to Amazon.

These are designed to last for three months. In my subscription, I get a 2-pack every other month. My kid has pretty bad allergies, and I want my AC unit to last, so I change the filter every month.

Amazon Subscribe & Save is also my reminder to change my filters. I change them when my deliveries arrive.

Arm & Hammer Fridge-n-Freezer Baking Soda

This is another one that is easy to forget to change every month. This 12-pack is a good price.

With one for the fridge and one for the freezer, a box lasts six months. I know when my monthly Subscribe & Save arrives it’s time to change the baking soda!

Dial Complete Antibacterial Foaming Hand Wash Refill, Spring Water, 32 Ounce

This is the refill for the soap dispensers we get at that store we don’t visit.  With this refill, we save a little money, save trips to the store and don’t use up so many plastic bottles.

This item looks like it may no longer be eligible for Subscribe & Save as of 1/27/2017.  I’ll update as soon as I find out.  There is another scent eligible for Subscribe & Save, but not at a price I would recommend.

Earnest Eats 100% All-Natural Wheat-Free & Vegan Chewy Baked Energy Bars

with Whole Nuts, Fruits, Seeds and Grains – Choco Peanut Butter, 1.9 Oz. Bars (Pack of 12)

I really love the Choco Peanut Butter bars!  We discovered these back during The Great Vegan Experiment, and we’ve kept getting them every since.  We don’t care for the other flavors.

Kleenex Cool Touch Facial Tissues, 50 ct, (Pack of 27)

We only ship this one every nine months or so.  We paid $38.94 on our 01/17/2017 shipment.  I will look again when I visit that store again, but I think the individual boxes are about $2 each.  I have to say that I don’t think the current price $61.30 would be worth it.  You’ll still save time going to the store, but it is a little more expensive.

Purina Pro Plan Dry Dog Food, Focus, Puppy Small Breed Chicken & Rice Formula, 6-Pound Bag, Pack of 1

This was a great find!  We can only find it at a pet store, so every few weeks we had to make a special trip to the pet store just for this.  Now we save a couple of dollars and don’t have to make a special trip.  We paid $8.79 on our 01/17/2017 shipment.
